COLUMBUS, Ind. – Update: The Columbus Police Department announced Sunday that the missing 81-year-old man has been found and he is safe. Lester Burbrink got into his car and left his home in the Four Seasons Retirement Center on Friday afternoon and disappeared. A statewide Silver Alert was issued on Saturday but has since been canceled.
Burbrink was located in Illinois. No other details have been released yet, but more information should be available later Monday.
COLUMBUS, Ind. – Original: Four Seasons Retirement Center reported Friday afternoon that an adult male was missing from the facility. The Columbus Police Department (CPD) is searching for Lester E. Burbrink, a white male, 81 years old, 6 feet 2 inches tall, and weighing 230 pounds.
He was last seen on Friday, February 21, at 3:30 pm, at the retirement center, at 1901 Taylor Road, in Columbus. Burbrink was wearing a light gray and brown jacket, a dark hat, and is possibly in a 2011 gold Toyota Sienna with license plate number RMY591.
He has been diagnosed with mild cognitive disorder and pre-dementia and has not taken his daily medication. A Silver Alert has been declared. CPD says that if you locate this man, you should immediately call 9-1-1.
