JACKSON COUNTY, Ind. – Indiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Law Enforcement reports a man and woman were severely injured Saturday night when they crashed their off-road vehicle (ORV) into a tree after veering off a road in northwestern Jackson County.
DNR says that apparently no helmets were being worn. Speed and alcohol were also possible contributing factors.
The ORV accident remains under investigation by DNR. Assisting agencies included the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Indiana State Police, Pershing Township Fire Department, Jackson County EMS, and Lifeline Air.
Names of the victims have not yet been released.
