SEYMOUR, Ind. – After a six-week investigation, The Seymour Police Department (SPD) taken into custody a local man for supposedly having sex with a minor.
On April 14, detectives began an inquiry into allegations that a 20-year-old male was having sexual intercourse with a 13-year-old female. After interviews were conducted, a Jackson Circuit Court warrant for child molestation was issued for Tyler Jolly Fisher, of Seymour.
SPD went to a residence in the 600 block of Centennial St., in Seymour, on Tuesday, and found Tyler Jolly Fisher hiding in a bedroom. He was arrested for the child molesting warrant, a level 3 felony.
Fisher was transported to Jackson County Jail and remanded into the custody of the jail staff.
Investigators with the Seymour Police Department conducted an interview with the suspect on Wednesday and were allegedly able to obtain a confession from him.
