COLUMBUS, Ind. – After much planning, a traffic light has now been installed at State Road 11 (Jonesville Road) and State Road 450S (Southern Crossing) and traffic signals are operational in both directions. The intersection had previously featured a four-way stop with flashing lights.
Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) contractor Morphey Construction has completed the project that was designed to improve safety and reduce congestion in the area. INDOT says the work is part of a $575,000 signal modernization contract.
Bartholomew County Sheriff Matt Myers urges drivers to use caution at the new-look intersection.
