BUTLERVILLE, Ind. – Deputies with the Jennings County Sheriff’s Office went to an address in Butlerville on Tuesday evening to serve a warrant to Emily Brooks, 24, of North Vernon. They found her standing in the driveway and took her into custody without incident.
While there, officers say they observed five other individuals in the back of the residence actively using what seemed to be methamphetamine. Further investigation led deputies to allegedly discovering meth, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a handgun that had been reported stolen from Knox County, Indiana.
Brooks was charged with warrants from Jennings and Jackson Counties. Thomas Smallwood II, 38, of Butlerville, Willie Spears, 34, of Vernon, Angeleah Viles, 24, of Seymour, Allen Ritchie, 52, of Butlerville, and Trinity Bennett, 18, of Holton, were all booked on various drug possession charges. Smallwood was also arrested for possession of the stolen handgun. All were transported to Jennings County Jail.
