COLUMBUS, Ind. – The city of Columbus says there are still a few openings for the “Precision Driving Course for Teens” this weekend. The class is available to any teenager who has a valid driver’s license or learner’s permit.
It is a one-day program that includes classroom instruction and hands-on driving at a closed driving track. Students are taught vehicle dynamics and safety tips, as well as the legal aspects of driving.
The class is this Saturday, July 31, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Columbus Police Department (CPD). Cars for the course and transportation to the track are provided by CPD. The cost is $25 and lunch is included.
