COLUMBUS, Ind. – UPDATE: The lockout has been lifted at East. BCSC says the investigation concluded that the school was never a target of a credible threat.
Original: As a precaution, Columbus East High School is currently on lockout while police are searching for a student that allegedly has made a gun-related threat.
According to BCSC, the student has not been on school property at any time today and all students and staff are safe.
A lockout is the first action taken in security protocols for BCSC where students and staff are to stay inside and classes continue as usual.
