NORTH VERNON, Ind. – The Jennings County Sheriff’s Office responded to St. Vincent Jennings Hospital Tuesday evening in reference to a man that had been burned.
Deputies learned the victim had been severely burned with a blow torch and had several items supposedly taken from him during an altercation. They were able to identify the suspect as James Robbins, 27, of North Vernon.
After being granted a search warrant for a home in Country Squire Lakes, the officers served it and reportedly located the alleged items belonging to the victim. They also say they found methamphetamine, syringes, marijuana, and drug-related at the residence.
Robbins was arrested, jailed, and charged with robbery, battery with serious injury, possession of marijuana and meth, possession of a syringe, maintaining a common nuisance, and possession of paraphernalia.
