COLUMBUS, Ind. – Parts of south-central Indiana are currently under a tornado watch as severe thunderstorms make their way through parts of the state, per the National Weather Service. A tornado watch has been issued for Bartholomew, Johnson, Jackson, and Jennings Counties until 10 p.m.
Southern Bartholomew County, Northeastern Jackson County, and Northwestern Jennings County are under a severe thunderstorm warning until 5 p.m.
At 4:30 p.m., a severe thunderstorm was located 10 miles northwest of Seymour, moving east at 40 mph.
Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Hail damage to vehicles is expected due to the potential for quarter-size hail.
