GREENSBURG, Ind. — Indiana State Police (ISP) detectives arrested a Flat Rock man this week after he allegedly intentionally caused damage to a Decatur County judge’s vehicle last month. The investigation was referred to ISP by the Greensburg Police Department due to a conflict of interest.
On August 19, the judge reported to responding police officers that his truck, which had been parked in a Decatur County employees parking lot, wasn’t working right. He then discovered that someone had placed spray foam insulation in the tailpipe of his vehicle. Law enforcement later viewed surveillance footage that revealed a suspect.
Further investigation and interviews led to the Wednesday arrest of Jimmy L. Colson, 62, of Flat Rock.
Colson was incarcerated at the Decatur County Jail on preliminary charges of intimidation and criminal mischief pending an initial appearance in court.
