COLUMBUS, Ind. — Bartholomew County Emergency Management (BCEM) has provided an update on the forecasted storm system set to arrive Tuesday in south-central Indiana. The northern portion of the state has a chance for thunderstorms and hail.
Bartholomew County is under a Marginal Risk for severe weather on Tuesday and a Slight Risk on Wednesday. Learn more about the National Weather Service’s (NWS) risk assessments here.
The storms on Tuesday are expected to come in multiple rounds with the main threats being damaging winds, large hail, and possible tornadoes. If the system continues to slow down, the chance for severe storms Wednesday increases, per BCEM.
