NORTH VERNON, Ind. – The Jennings County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) was called to a home in Campbell Township on Saturday evening after a report of a woman attacking people with a knife inside the residence.
When law enforcement arrived, deputies and an Indiana Conservation officer were able to contain and arrest the alleged attacker, Hannah Tice, 36, of Madison.
Officers found a woman who had been stabbed in the arm and was bleeding profusely. They applied a tourniquet until Rescue 20 arrived. The woman was later flown to a Louisville area trauma center to be treated for her injury.
Tice was placed under arrest and taken to the Jennings County Jail where she was preliminarily charged with Battery with a Deadly Weapon Causing Serious Bodily Injury (Level 5 Felony) and Criminal Recklessness With a Deadly Weapon (Level 6 Felony).
The case remains under investigation and further charges are possible.
