COLUMBUS, Ind. – The public will have a chance to tour one of the few remaining planes of its kind and learn about its restoration progress on Saturday in commemoration of Veteran’s Day.
The Atterbury-Bakalar Air Museum at the Columbus Municipal Airport will have the C-119 ‘Flying Boxcar’ open for tours from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Members of the restoration team will be available to answer questions about the three-year refurbishing effort.
The museum will be open Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
A Bell UH-1 Huey helicopter, operated by Columbus Indiana Huey, will also be on hand.
