COLUMBUS, Ind. – Three juveniles were arrested after a suspected stolen vehicle slammed into a Columbus apartment building early Sunday morning.
The Columbus Police Department (CPD) responded to 93 Salzburg Blvd, at the Steinhurst Manor Apartments, at around 3:10 a.m., regarding a vehicle that had smashed into an apartment building causing minor damage.
Officers detained three 16-year-old juveniles who had at first fled on foot. CPD soon determined that the license plate on the car was stolen. Police then noticed that the ignition on the vehicle was altered and damaged, and the vehicle was also possibly stolen.
The teenagers were transported to the Bartholomew County Juvenile Youth Services Center where they were remanded for Possession of Stolen Property, Resisting Law Enforcement, and Curfew Violation. Additional charges are possible in this ongoing investigation.
