MEDORA, Ind. – Indiana State Police (ISP) detectives arrested a Jackson County man Tuesday on nine counts of Possession of Child Pornography after a three-month investigation by ISP troopers assigned to the Indiana Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.
The investigation began in December 2023 when a cyber tip was received from the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children. The tip was then forwarded to the Indiana ICAC Task Force to investigate.
The inquiry led to a search warrant being served on Tuesday, March 12, at a residence in the 9000 block of West US 50 near Medora. Multiple images of suspected child pornography were allegedly found on social media accounts and electronic devices supposedly belonging to Paxston A. Allman, age 19, of Medora.
Allman was arrested and transported to Jackson County Jail where he was incarcerated on preliminary charges of Possession of Child Pornography (9 counts). He will soon face an initial appearance in the Jackson County Circuit Court.
The ICAC Task Force is a multiagency task force that investigates and prosecutes persons who use the internet to exploit or entice children sexually. The Indiana State Police oversees the task force.
The Indiana ICAC Task Force encourages Hoosiers to report online exploitation, solicitation, and enticement-type crimes against children to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). The NCMEC website can be accessed through the ICAC Task Force website.
