COLUMBUS, Ind. – A recent Our Hospice of South Central Indiana and Palliative Care employee-led food drive collected over 500 pounds of supplies for patients and families in need. The efforts, enthusiasm, and passion displayed by everyone at Our Hospice made the event incredibly successful.
Thanks to the participation of teammates from Greensburg, Columbus, and North Vernon, Our Hospice has significantly impacted those facing food insecurity.
Because financial hardships continue to rise, this initiative came at a critical time. Recent state budget shortfalls, threaten access to vital programs like SNAP and Medicaid, leaving many families struggling to put food on the table.
“The employee-led food donations will go a long way to support those in our care who are in need,” said Our Hospice and Palliative Care president Steph Cain. She continued, “We are Better Together serving our communities. Every contribution makes a real difference in the lives of our patients and families facing food insecurity.”
