SEYMOUR, Ind. – The Jackson County Sheriff’s Department and Indiana State Police (ISP) say that traveling southbound I-65 in Jackson County was not where you wanted to be on Thursday morning. Two accidents in three hours inconvenienced motorists.
Both lanes of southbound I-65 were closed following a crash at around 6 a.m. A semi rolled over near the 42-mile marker, between Seymour and Crothersville. The northbound lanes were not affected. Crews cleared the crash site and reopened all southbound lanes by 7:20 a.m.
ISP troopers were on the scene of a second southbound I-65 accident at 8:30 a.m. This three-vehicle crash occurred near the 49-mile marker and restricted traffic for over an hour. There were minor injuries. Workers had all lanes back open and flowing smoothly by 9:45 a.m.
