FRANKLIN, Ind. – Indiana American Water says a Boil Water Advisory is in effect for sections of Franklin. It was declared Monday morning due to a water main break on U.S. 31 and applies to customers in the affected area shown on the accompanying map.
This advisory is expected to be in effect until Tuesday afternoon. Any water used for drinking or cooking should be brought to a rolling boil for three minutes. Water is okay for bathing, washing, and other common uses.
You will receive another notification should additional action be required, if conditions change, or when normal water use may be resumed. If you are a landlord and water service is in your name, you are asked to inform your tenants so they are aware of this impact on their water service.
Additional updates will be provided on the “Alerts” section of www.indianaamwater.com when new information is available. Customers can also sign up for alerts through their “MyWater” account.
