FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Independent Colleges of Indiana (ICI) selected Franklin College Director of Library Services and Assessment Jessica Mahoney as a member of its fifth ICI Leadership Academy. The year-long program provides professional development for faculty and staff at private, nonprofit colleges and universities in Indiana. The college identified Mahoney as someone whose leadership will be critical for the continued success of the institution.
Through the ICI Leadership Academy, Mahoney will gain valuable insight into the college’s peer institutions. The competencies developed through this program will assist in continued growth and development. In keeping with the college’s liberal arts tradition, the program will provide Mahoney with a holistic view of the institution.
ICI Vice President/COO Laura Bridges said, “The ICI Leadership Academy equips emerging leaders with the skills and perspectives they need to foster innovation and success on their campuses.”
Mahoney, a Franklin resident, joined Franklin College in January 2011. She previously taught English at Seymour Community Schools. Mahoney holds a Bachelor of Arts in secondary education and teaching from Franklin College and a Master of Library Science from Indiana University.
