GREENWOOD, Ind. – The Center Community School Corporation (CGCSC) announced that Anne Jackson, from North Grove Elementary School, is the district’s 2024-25 Teacher of the Year during the district’s annual Employee Celebration on Monday, May 12. The award is chosen by a university committee.
Jackson teaches 5th Grade Extended Learning (High Ability). She is finishing her 10th year of educating students, three of which have been in Center Grove. As CGCSC Teacher of the Year, Wallman Financial, LLC, awarded Jackson $1,000 to spend in her classroom.
She will represent Center Grove in the Indiana Teacher of the Year competition.
“Being named Center Grove Community School Corporation Teacher of the Year is an incredible honor,” said Jackson. “This recognition reflects not only my work, but also the strength of the community I am privileged to be part of and the transformative impact of education within it. I am inspired by my students, colleagues, and families who show up each day with passion, curiosity, and resilience.”
Building Teacher of the Year winners, Support Staff of the Year winners, and Legacy Award honorees were also recognized at the event.
Center Grove High School seniors nominate the teacher they believe had the greatest impact on them during their time in Center Grove schools.
