GREENWOOD, Ind. – The City of Greenwood presents two Christmas promotions for residents and visitors in December.
The Lighted Trail opens this Sunday, December 7. You and your family are invited to take a stroll through the Amphitheater Park and enjoy the holiday lights.
While there, get a festive selfie and start a new holiday tradition. The lights will be on from dusk till dawn each day.
Throughout the month, there will be ambient entertainment from the stage as you stroll along The Lighted Trail.
Greenwood Parks and Recreation is also sponsoring a coloring contest for kids. Print a copy of the Christmas ornament to color here, and then drop your completed entry into Santa’s Mailbox at the Greenwood Community Center.
Winners will be selected in three age groups: 4 and under, ages 5 to 7, and kids 8 to 12. The deadline to enter is December 14, and the winners will be announced on December 15.
The Lighted Trail will feature:
- 85 Trees of lights
- 18 Standing figures of various sizes
- 5 Arches
- 12 Arch Candy Cane Tunnel
- 2- 7ft Candy Canes
- 3,600 Lights on the bridge
- 10 Light Poles
- 42,840 Lights in total
