COLUMBUS, Ind. – Saturday was pickup and distribution day at Bartholomew County Toys for Tots, and the organization says it couldn’t be prouder of the team that led this incredible initiative.
This meaningful effort helps spread joy throughout the holiday season and makes a real difference for struggling families in the community. Over 150 kids signed up for the program during the last week. Thankfully, a local company called and said all 60 of its employees were going to “adopt a child.”
Organizers also received last-minute donations of $5,000 and $1,500 from two local citizens at a fundraiser at Ye Olde Fish House.
Despite more people signing up to receive toys and the state of the economy, Toys for Tots was able to deliver to over 1800 families.
Shella Moss, a spokesperson for the Bartholomew County Toys for Tots team, said, “Whether you volunteered your time, adopted a child, came to any of our fundraisers, or donated money, we could not make this happen without you.”
