COLUMBUS, Ind. – United Way of Bartholomew County said it had about 250 volunteers spread out across the county to paint, weed, mow, and build ramps for the United Way Day of Service last Friday, September 10.
The annual event matches volunteers from the community with needed projects in Bartholomew County for residents, partner agencies, and community entities.
Volunteers put in 1,000 hours at 20 sites. Employees from eight different companies also participated.
Examples of projects this year included sorting donations at Sans Souci, painting at Turning Point, helping with home repairs, landscaping at Thrive Alliance, and organizing at Love Chapel.
