SCIPIO, Ind. – Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) contractor GeoStabilization International will begin a slide repair project next week on State Road 7, north of Scipio.
On or after Monday, July 31, S.R. 7 will be reduced to one lane near Private Rd. 625W. Temporary signals will control traffic as the roadway and adjacent hillside are stabilized by constructing a soil nail wall. Work is anticipated to be completed in about 10 days, weather permitting. Guardrails will also be replaced at the work site.
Drivers should slow down, use caution and avoid distractions when traveling in and near construction zones. Motorists should watch for stopped traffic.
