HOPE, Ind. – The Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) and Indiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR) officers are investigating after a Hope man died as the result of an off-road vehicle accident on Sunday.
Deputies responded to the 9000 block of E. County Road 700N just after 3 p.m. Mark Case, 62, of Hope, had been injured following an UTV accident, per law enforcement. He later succumbed to his injuries.
Case was an Animal Control Officer for Bartholomew County. Sheriff Chris Lane said, “I would like to express my condolences to Mark’s family and friends. He was an outstanding public servant and he will be greatly missed.”
BCSO and DNR say the investigation remains active.
