FRANKLIN, Ind. – Franklin College President Kerry N. Prather has announced that Andrew Hendricks has accepted the position of vice president for enrollment and marketing at the college, effective immediately. He has been serving in the role on an interim basis since the summer of 2022.
Hendricks also served as Franklin’s director of athletics since May 2020 as well as the head coach of the Franklin swimming and diving program. After 13 seasons as the architect of the program, the 2023-24 season will be his final as head coach. Zach Rayce ’20 has been elevated from assistant to associate head coach for the upcoming year and will assume a greater share of the day-to-day duties for the program.
To fill Hendricks’ chair in the Spurlock Center, head baseball coach Lance Marshall has been promoted to Director of athletics from associate director of athletics. One of the longest-tenured members of the athletic department, Marshall has been part of the staff since 1997 and has served in the athletic administration for the last several years.
Additionally, head softball coach Angie Bain will transition to the role of associate director of athletics and senior woman administrator (SWA). Bain took over as the head of the softball program in 2020.
Head volleyball coach Randi Garrett will step away from administrative duties to take the reins for Franklin’s men’s volleyball program, which is set to compete at the club level in 2023-24 with the goal of moving to an NCAA-sponsored sport for 2024-25.
