COLUMBUS, Ind. – Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation (BCSC) announced Friday that Veronica Buckler, a facilitator at CSA New Tech, has been named to the Top 25 in the State of Indiana’s Teacher of the Year program. She was selected as the 2022-2023 BCSC Teacher of the Year in August 2022.
Buckler joined BCSC in 2016 and has become an asset to both CSA New Tech and the school corporation. With a passion for learning and a dedication to her students, she has taught in the content areas of English/Language Arts (9-12), World History, and US History.
Her colleagues and former students describe her as “incredible” and “an asset to our students.” Her energy, passion, forward-thinking, and ability to make progress in education have made her a beloved figure at CSA New Tech.
She describes herself as being “a huge fan of learning.” Her philosophy extends beyond the classroom, as she sees teaching as “so many careers in one,” including roles as a counselor, project manager, or gardener.
Buckler’s innovative approach to Project-Based Learning (PBL) has allowed her to explore “endless possibilities” in education, sparking curiosity and excitement in her students.
