COLUMBUS, Ind. - Bartholomew County Treasurer Barbara Hackman has announced that property tax bills will be sent out soon.
The 2026 spring and fall installments are being mailed on Friday, April 10. The spring invoice is due May 11, while the fall installment must be paid by November 10.
Hackman says payment options include mail, in-person at the Government Office Building in Columbus at 440 Third St. (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.), online, or by phone at 844-278-9126.
Also, two after-hours drop boxes are located at the Government Building, one on Third Street across from the Crump Theatre and the other at the back entrance on Franklin Street.
She adds that several local financial institutions will accept your payment before the deadline. They include First Financial Bank, Horizon Bank, Centra Credit Union, German American Bank, and Jackson County Bank.
