COLUMBUS, Ind. - Columbus Fire Department (CPD) firefighters assisted the Bartholomew County Water Rescue team on Wednesday evening on a flooded Clifty Creek near 850 U.S. 31N.
Several homeless individuals and pets were moved to safety after emergency personnel used boats to remove them from harm's way.
In addition to deploying a CFD boat, CFD firefighters utilized their drone equipped with a thermal imagery camera to ensure all persons and pets were accounted for.
