COLUMBUS, Ind. - The City of Columbus Engineering Department announced that two sidewalk projects, which could impact vehicle traffic flow, will commence on Wednesday, April 22.
Force Construction will start construction of a new sidewalk on the west side of Marr Road, from 25th Street to 32nd Street. Drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists may experience brief delays in the area. Work is expected to be completed mid-summer.
All Star Paving will begin building a new shared-use path on the north side of 27th Street, between Washington Street and Home Avenue. Intermittent and short-term closures of 27th Street will be necessary for crews to work safely. Brief delays are possible. Construction is scheduled to be finished in the fall.
Use caution when traveling through the work zones and follow all posted signs and detours.
Project updates, including notices of upcoming closures, will be shared on the City’s website and the Columbus Indiana Engineering Facebook page.
