Columbus Propeller announces full schedule of June events

COLUMBUS, Ind. - Propeller, the community makerspace located at AirPark Columbus, has announced its June lineup of hands-on workshops and community programs.

Events include woodworking, welding, stained glass, CAD, and family-friendly activities designed for all skill levels.

June 14, 2-3:30 p.m. – Weld TogetHER ($75) - Learn welding basics, safety, and beginner techniques while creating a metal rose to take home. It is open to all, but focuses on encouraging women and young girls to explore. Ages 13+ with an adult. All PPE and materials provided.

June 14, 2-5 p.m. – Wood Turning Workshop: Ink Pens & Bottle Openers ($100) - Celebrate Father’s Day weekend with a hands-on woodturning experience. Participants will create an ink pen and a bottle opener while learning basic woodturning skills. Ages 16+. Beginner-friendly.

June 15, 5:30-6:30 p.m. – Propeller LEGO Club (FREE) - Creative building and community fun with Legos. All ages welcome.

June 20, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.  – Stained Glass Workshop ($100) - A beginner-friendly workshop where you’ll learn how to cut, grind, and solder glass and create a fruit-inspired design. Taught by Patch of Glass Studio, this workshop is fun for all skill levels. Ages 18+. All materials and PPE provided.

June 27, 2-6 p.m. – Intro to CAD ($40) - Participants will learn the basics of 3D modeling using Onshape. No experience needed, just bring a laptop and get ready to design. All ages welcome.
