COLUMBUS, Ind. - The overhauling of the City of Columbus bus routes is complete, and you are now invited to "Ride the Loops.' The new "Loop" system began on Monday.
The Columbus Transit improvements include a color-coded Loop system, the relocation of several transit stations, and alterations to existing routes.
- Bus Routes 1-5 are now colorful Loops, including the Blue, Green, Purple, Orange, and Full Loops
- The Blue Loop offers two “split” routes, with service to the AirPark and Southern Indiana Orthopedics. Split Loops alternate every hour
- "Stop and Wave" pickups have ended; riders must be at a permanent bus stop to be picked up
- The transfer station at Target is now at NexusPark. Blue, Green, and Orange loop passengers can transfer at the NexusPark stop on Herman Darlage Drive. All Loops can transfer at the Mill Race Depot at the top of the hour
The City thanks its staff for their hard work over the last few years that made this change a reality.
