COLUMBUS, Ind. - As of 8:30 a.m., the Columbus Police Department has responded to 30 motorist assists.
A CPD spokesperson said, "Although we’re happy to help, we’d much rather everyone stay safe and stay off the roads."
The Bartholomew County travel status has just been updated to warning level (red), due to hazardous road conditions.
A Warning means travel conditions are dangerous, and it should be avoided unless absolutely necessary. Otherwise, travel is restricted to emergency personnel only.
Snow-covered roads and worsening conditions are expected. If possible, stay off the roads, be safe, monitor local updates, and check the Indiana Travel Status Map before traveling.
CPD will continue to share updates as conditions change.
