COLUMBUS, Ind. - The Columbus Police Department (CPD) was dispatched to a home in the 1400 block of Pearl Street, just after 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 21, to perform a welfare check.
When officers arrived at the residence, they went inside and discovered a deceased person.
CPD investigators were then summoned to the house and are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death. One person is now in custody.
