Edinburgh Rubber Duck Regatta is set for this Saturday

EDINBURGH Ind. - After flooding forced the postponement of the inaugural Edinburgh Rubber Duck Regatta, the ducks are getting a second chance to make a splash this weekend.

The Edinburgh Rubber Duck Regatta will take place Saturday, September 12, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Irwin Park, with the first duck races beginning at noon.   

The Main Street Edinburgh event is free to attend and will feature oversized rubber ducks racing on the Big Blue River, along with a Jeep Show, local vendors, food trucks, music, family games, and duck decorating.  

Ducks will be available for purchase on event day for $10, while supplies last. Participants can purchase and decorate their duck before checking it in for the race.  

Event organizers also want to remind visitors that State Road 252 is currently closed due to construction. Visitors will need to use an alternate route to reach Irwin Park via Main Street.  

The Edinburgh Rubber Duck Regatta, supported by Festival Country Indiana, aims to bring families and visitors together while showcasing local businesses and the Edinburgh community.
