COLUMBUS/FRANKLIN, Ind.- Ivy Tech Community College continues its series of free FAFSA Filing Events during March and April to help students and families complete the 2025–26 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
To serve as many students as possible, events are offered at multiple dates, times, and locations across the region:

These events provide hands-on assistance from Ivy Tech staff to guide students and families through the FAFSA process, ensuring they can access federal, state, and institutional financial aid for the upcoming academic year.
To complete the FAFSA successfully, students and families should bring:
FSA ID for both the student and one parent (if the student is a dependent)
Social Security Numbers for the student and parent
2024 federal tax return and W2 forms for the student and parent
Records of untaxed income, if applicable
Driver’s license or state ID (student)
A list of colleges the student is considering, including Ivy Tech

COLUMBUS, Ind. - The Columbus Fire Department (CFD) responded to three residential fires within 16 hours from Sunday evening into Monday afternoon. One was due to lightning during a Sunday night thunderstorm. No injuries were reported, but two pets perished in one of the fires.
