UPDATE: Missing Jennings County woman found safe

PARIS CROSSING, Ind. - UPDATE: Sept. 21 at 12:48 p.m.: The Silver Alert on Lisa Bedel has been canceled. According to the Jennings County Sheriff's Office, Lisa Bedel has been located safely.

UPDATE: Sept. 21 at 10:30 a.m. - The Jennings County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO), along with several area fire departments and search/rescue teams, continues its search for Lisa Bedel. Operations were temporarily suspended at about 1 a.m. due to safety concerns for the search teams. Crews returned to the area and resumed the search at daylight.

The ongoing search will focus around the 10000 block of South County Road 410W, near Hoosier Hilltoppers. JCSO is asks members of the public to avoid the search area unless you live nearby. Law enforcement has highly trained K-9 search teams working in the area, and additional foot traffic can unintentionally disrupt their ability to conduct searches effectively.

The Jennings County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public to help find Lisa Bedel, 54, of Paris Crossing. She is missing from southern Jennings County, near Hoosier Hilltoppers, on S. County Road 410W.

The Indiana State Police (ISP) declared a statewide "Silver Alert" at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Lisa Bedel is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 150 pounds. She has red hair and brown eyes. She was last wearing a pink shirt and black sweatpants.

ISP says she was last seen on Saturday, September 19, at 10:30 p.m.  She is believed to be in danger and may require medical assistance.

Anyone who has seen Lisa or has information regarding her whereabouts is asked to contact the Jennings County Sheriff’s Office at 812-346-8642.

Until she is located, residents will notice a large presence of law enforcement personnel and first responders in the area.
