COLUMBUS, Ind. - The Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation (BCSC) announced Monday morning that music teacher Kaila Lifferth, of Clifty Creek Elementary School, was named as the 2025-26 BCSC "Teacher of the Year."
She was selected from the district's 18 building-level Teachers of the Year, who were chosen earlier in the spring.
If she decides to do so, Lifferth can now apply for the "Indiana Teacher of the Year" award. BCSC's last three Teachers of the Year became finalists for the statewide honor.
Kaila Lifferth will be teaching music at Columbus East High School for the 2026-2027 school year. It will be her 10th year at BCSC.
