COLUMBUS, Ind. - The City of Columbus Engineering Department has announced that on or after Wednesday, May 6, Milestone is scheduled to begin the City’s 2026 Community Crossings Matching Grant (CCMG) project.
As part of this program, asphalt resurfacing work will be conducted on Marr Road, from Jolinda Drive to 25th Street.
Asphalt overlay is completed in three separate stages: patching, milling, and final asphalt surface. Different crews execute each step at different times, so crews will leave and return as the process moves forward.
After patching or milling, the road may appear rough or unfinished; however, that is normal. Crews will return to complete the remaining steps and restore the road surface.
Consider taking an alternate route while construction is underway. If you must travel in the area, use caution, follow instructions from flag personnel, and don’t drive distracted.
