COLUMBUS, Ind. - The City of Columbus alerts motorists that Dave O’Mara Contractor will close 2nd Street at Franklin Street from 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11, to about 6 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, for storm sewer installation.
Work in the area may continue after 6 a.m. on Saturday, so those attending the Farmers Market should use caution when traveling through the area.
Traffic will be rerouted north on Brown Street or onto First Street to bypass the closure.

Columbus man gets 27 years for sexually exploiting child in his care
INDIANAPOLIS - Andrew Wade Case, 39, of Columbus, was sentenced on Tuesday, September 8, to 27 years and three months in federal prison, followed by a lifetime of supervised release, after pleading guilty to sexual exploitation of a child, as well as distribution and possession of child sexual abuse material.
