COLUMBUS, Ind. - To kick off the Memorial Day weekend, the Columbus Indiana Philharmonic (CIP) presents the SALUTE! concert, a public patriotic event honoring U.S. Armed Forces veterans and current Service Members.
The 15th annual free concert is held again this year at the Columbus Municipal Airport, near the C-119 plane, on Friday, May 22, at 7 p.m.
Attendees should bring their own blankets and lawn chairs. Food trucks open at 5:30 p.m.
CIP organizes the SALUTE! Concert each year in memory of those who gave their tomorrows for our todays.
Thanks to the Indiana National Guard, you can expect to hear the sound of howitzer fire during the playing of the 1812 Overture.
