COLUMBUS, Ind. - The Bartholomew County Sheriff's Office (BCSO) responded to the intersection of W. State Road 46 and N. County Road 675W regarding a vehicle crash at around 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 12.
A caller told dispatch that a car and truck had collided and the car had gone down an embankment.
Upon arrival. deputies found the driver of the car to be deceased. The driver of the truck, an 18-year-old male from Columbus, had minor injuries.
The truck driver consented to a blood draw and is cooperating with the investigation.
The Bartholomew County Accident Reconstruction Team was called to the scene and documented the incident. The accident remains under investigation.
