SOUTH-CENTRAL, Ind. - The National Weather Service (NWS) announced Sunday that there is a Winter Weather Advisory in effect for south-central Indiana from 2 to 9 a.m. on Monday for Bartholomew, Johnson, Jackson, Jennings, and Brown Counties.
Cities included in the Winter Weather Advisory area include Columbus, Franklin, Seymour, Edinburgh, North Vernon, Whiteland, and Nashville.
Light snow, occasionally mixed with sleet, is probable with total snow accumulations of one to two inches possible.
Untreated roads, bridges and overpasses will likely become slick, so NWS says to plan on slippery road conditions.
The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning commute.
