COLUMBUS, Ind. – Columbus Police Department (CPD) and Columbus Fire Department (CFD) are working in the area of 3rd Street and Chestnut Street with wires down across the roadway.
CFD and CPD were called to the scene at approximately 1:50 p.m. on Tuesday after a semi made contact with power lines. The accident resulted in a broken utility pole.
Westbound 3rd Street traffic was diverted onto California Street. Duke Energy was assisting in removing the lines from the roadway.
