Center Grove High School to graduate 715 Students this weekend

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Center Grove High School (CGHS) plans to graduate 715 students on Sunday, May 31st at 11:00 a.m. in the high school’s Ray Skillman Stadium. The ceremony will be webcast on the Center Grove Schools YouTube channel at youtube.com/c/centergroveschools.

The Class of 2026 valedictorian is Andra Veleta. She ended her high school career with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 4.879. The salutatorian for the Class of 2026 is Mohammed Khan, who finished with a GPA of 4.857. Both Andra and Mohammed plan to attend the University of Notre Dame.

“As we celebrate the 715 graduates of Center Grove High School, we are incredibly proud of the legacy they leave behind,” said Tracy McMahen, CGHS principal. “This class has made a lasting impact on our school community in countless ways--through athletics, clubs, academics, leadership, service, the arts, and the everyday kindness, energy, and positivity they brought to our hallways each day. They have helped shape the culture of CGHS and made our school a better place. We are thankful for all they have given to our community and wish each of them the very best as they begin their next chapter.”

Center Grove has 19 graduates who plan to serve in the military following graduation, including two who will attend the United States Merchant Marine Academy and the United States Military Academy at West Point.

Among the graduates, 244 seniors will receive Core 40 with Academic Honors diplomas, three will receive Core 40 with Technical Honors diplomas, and 62 seniors will receive both. Five students will receive the Indiana Enrollment Honors Plus diploma. 124 seniors in Center Grove’s Early College program will receive an Associate of Science degree in General Studies from Vincennes University, along with their high school diploma. All of those seniors have earned college honors. Twenty-five students will receive a 30-hour Indiana College Core certificate, which means they have met all requirements for general education courses at all state universities in Indiana.
