City of Franklin urges citizens to take downtown parking survey

FRANKLIN, Ind. - The City of Franklin is conducting a Downtown Parking Study to better understand the functions of the parking system, identify ways to improve it, and develop recommendations that support downtown businesses, residents, employees, visitors, and future growth.

The study will evaluate existing parking conditions, gather community input, assess future parking needs, and identify practical strategies to improve parking access and management. As part of this effort, the City invites community members to participate in a survey about parking in downtown Franklin.

The City and Walker Consultants are administering the questionnaire designed to gather feedback on parking availability, convenience, usage patterns, challenges, and overall experiences accessing downtown destinations. I

Input from residents, business owners, employees, visitors, event attendees, and other downtown users helps inform the study findings and recommendations, ensuring future parking strategies reflect community needs and priorities.
