FRANKLIN, Ind. - Franklin Community Schools has announced the appointment of Ryan Wagner as principal of Franklin Community High School (FCHS).
Dr. Clendenning made the recommendation at the February School Board meeting, following Mr. Wagner’s successful tenure as interim principal.
Wagner began his tenure at FCHS as an associate principal before serving as an interim principal. This is Wagner’s 18th year in education, and 11th year as an administrator.
He is known for putting students at the center of every decision, bringing an innovative mindset and creative problem-solving approach focused on supporting student growth, achievement, and success.
Wagner said, “Franklin possesses an incredible amount of commonalities with my hometown of Yorkville, Illinois. In my short time since being hired last year as the associate principal, I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the students and celebrating their unique individual accomplishments."
The new principal replaces Steve Ahaus, who transitioned to the position of Chief Financial Officer.
