Franklin Redevopment Commission transfers Scott Park, Amphitheater properties to City

FRANKLIN, Ind. — The Franklin Redevelopment Commission voted unanimously on Tuesday, September 15, to transfer ownership of multiple city properties directly to the City of Franklin.

The reorganization includes several parcels associated with Scott Park to align with bonding requirements for upcoming park improvements.

Because the Scott Park project funding is being issued through the Franklin Parks Board rather than the Redevelopment Commission, the City must hold the legal ownership of the land to secure the bond.

Additionally, the commission approved transferring several leftover parcels from the Youngs Creek Amphitheater project to consolidate land records under the City of Franklin. Commission members Richard Wertz and Ann McGuinness were authorized to execute the necessary deeds to finalize the property transfers.
