NORTH VERNON, Ind. - The Jennings County Sheriff's Office (JCSO) received a report of a minor being sexually assaulted in June 2025. A year-long investigation produced enough evidence and probable cause for a warrant to be issued for 32-year-old Amber Giddings.
JCSO deputies and North Vernon Police Department officers began searching for Giddings on Saturday, August 1, to deliver the warrant. An NVPD officer found the suspect at a convenience store and took her into custody.
Giddings is being held without bond at the Jennings County Jail on the following charges:
- Child Molesting (Level 1 Felony)
- Battery-Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury to a Person less than 14 Years Old (Level 3 Felony)
The Sheriff's Office thanked NVPD for their relationship and their willingness to assist. Local law enforcement said it will continue its relentless pursuit of those who victimize children.
