GREENSBURG, Ind. - Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating the death of a juvenile whose body was recovered from a private pond in Greensburg on Friday, July 17.
Decatur County Central Dispatch notified Indiana Conservation Officers Central Dispatch just before 9 p.m. that a juvenile had been found unconscious in a private pond.
A parent located the juvenile unresponsive near a dock, initiated life-saving measures, and the juvenile was transported to the University of Cincinnati Children’s Hospital for further treatment.
On July 23, Indiana Conservation Officers were informed that the juvenile had been pronounced dead at the hospital.
An autopsy conducted by the Hamilton County (Ohio) Coroner’s Office determined the preliminary cause of death to be drowning.
